BioCalcium
BioCalcium is a calcium product made as a true solution.
BioCalcium is rapidly absorbed by plants.
USAGE
Even in soils with a significant amount of calcium, deficiencies can occur.
These are only recognised at the growth points as calcium cannot be recycled from older leaves to new ones. The movement of calcium in the plant takes place in the transpiration stream through the xylem and therefore deficiency symptoms typically occur in periods where transpiration is low.
BioCalcium is absorbed both through leaves and roots. The fertiliser does not raise the pH of the soil.
CALCIUM DEFICIENCY SYMPTOMS APPEAR PRIMARILY
• During periods of heavy rainfall or high humidity
• During periods of strong growth when the plants’ calcium uptake cannot keep up.
NOTE: Vigorous growth can be provoked by heavy fertilisation with nitrogen.
DOSAGE
Apples and pears:
As a guideline BioCalcium should be used in a quantity of 60-100 litres per hectare per year distributed over 3-5 times. Corresponding to a dose of approx. 20 litres per hectare per treatment.
In case of deficiency symptoms, apply 20 litres per hectare per treatment until the deficiency is cured.
Preventive treatment starts in BBCH: 74 and is repeated weekly until harvest.
Stone fruits:
BioCalcium should be used in a quantity of 40-60 litres per hectare per year distributed over 2-3 times. Corresponding to a dose of approx. 20 litres per hectare per treatment.
In case of deficiency symptoms, apply 20 litres per hectare per treatment until the deficiency is cured.
Preventive treatment starts three weeks before harvest and is repeated weekly until harvest.
APPLICATION
Apply BioCalcium diluted in 200-250 litres of water with a standard field sprayer fitted with ordinary nozzles.
BioCalcium must not be mixed with other products.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
BioCalcium must be stored frost-free and out of the reach of children. Protective gloves and eye protection must be worn when handling.
